Fantasy Football TE Rankings (Draft Time)

NAME (Team) Bye Week
1. Jason Witten (DAL) 10
2. Tony Gonzalez
(KC) 6
3. Kellen Winslow
(CLE) 5
4. Antonio Gates
(SD) 9 UPDATE:Gates appears to be on the mend. He has passed his physical and appears well on his way to starting in week 1. While this is positive news, we are still a little apprehensive about ranking him the top TE this season. He may end up playing like the monster we have grown to know, but we still see him as a little risky with this type of injury.
5. Dallas Clark
(IND) 4
6. Chris Cooley
(WAS) 10
7. Jeremy Shockey
(NO) 9
8. Vernon Davis
(SF) 9
9. Owen Daniels
(HOU) 8
10. Alge Crumpler (TEN) 6
11. Heath Miller (PIT) 6
12. L.J. Smith (PHI) 7 UPDATE:With Kevin Curtis sidelined for what could be the majority of the season, Smith is the most likely candidate to become the go to guy in the Eagles passing game.
13. Todd Heap
(BAL) 10 UPDATE: Heap continues to struggle through the same kind of nagging injuries in the pre season that plagued him throughout last year. He still has top flight potential, but this does not bode well for the rest of the season, and he should now be considered risky at best.
14. Greg Olson (CHI) 8
15. Benjamin Watson (NE) 4
S 16. Zach Miller (OAK) 5
S 17. Randy McMichael (STL) 5
18. Donald Lee (GB) 8
19. Kevin Boss (NYG) 4
S 20. Tony Scheffler (DEN) 8 UPDATE: For unknown reasons, Scheffler has been demoted on the Broncos depth chart. Nate Jackson is now listed as the Denver's starting TE. This may just be temporary, but Scheffler is now considered a risky fantasy option. We still like his potential, but apparently Broncos Head Coach Mike Shanahan is not so sure.
S 21. Anthony Fasano (MIA) 4
S 22. Ben Utecht (CIN) 8
S 23. Dustin Keller (NYJ) 5
S 24. John Carlson (SEA) 4
25. Leonard Pope (ARI) 7
26. Desmond Clark (CHI) 8
27. Jeff King (CAR) 9
28. Marcedes Lewis (JAX) 7
29. Alex Smith (TB) 10
S 30. Nate Jackson (DEN) 8
