7 Awesome Stats from NFL Week 11

 
Week 11 of the NFL season has nearly come and gone. Let's look back at 7 feats of statistical awesomeness.

1. New England QB TOM BRADY guided the Patriots to a 31-28 win over Indianapolis. Brady has won 25 consecutive regular-season starts at home and tied BRETT FAVRE (1995-1998) for the longest streak of consecutive regular-season home wins as a starting quarterback.



2. Colts quarterback PEYTON MANNING had four touchdown passes today against New England. Manning has 63 career games with at least three touchdown passes and surpassed Pro Football Hall of Famer DAN MARINO (62) for the second-most such games in NFL history. BRETT FAVRE holds the NFL record with 72 games with at least three touchdown passes.

3. Tennessee running back CHRIS JOHNSON rushed for 130 yards in the Titans’ 19-16 overtime loss against Washington. Johnson has rushed for at least 100 yards in eight consecutive games in November, tying Pro Football Hall of Famer BARRY SANDERS for the second-longest such streak.  Pro Football Hall of Famer EARL CAMPBELL holds the NFL record with nine consecutive 100-yard rushing games in November.

4. Green Bay wide receiver GREG JENNINGS had seven receptions for 152 yards and a career-high three touchdown receptions in the Packers’ 31-3 win at Minnesota. Jennings joins ANTONIO FREEMAN and JAVON WALKER as only players in franchise history to have at least seven receptions, 150 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a game.

5. Dallas rookie cornerback BRYAN MC CANN had a 97-yard punt return-touchdown in the Cowboys’ 35-19 win over Detroit.  McCann had a 101-yard interception-return touchdown last week and is the first rookie in NFL history with a 97+ yard TD in consecutive games.

6. Tampa Bay cornerback RONDE BARBER had an interception in the Buccaneers’ 21-0 win at San Francisco.  Barber has 40 career interceptions and is the only player in NFL history with at least 25 sacks (26) & 40 interceptions.

7. Baltimore safety ED REED had an interception and returned it 19 yards before tossing it to DAWAN LANDY for a touchdown in the Ravens’ 37-13 win at Carolina.   Reed averages 26.8 yards per return on his 50 career interceptions (1,338 yards) and joins Pro Football Hall of Famer ROD WOODSON (71 INTs, 20.9 return avg.), DEION SANDERS (53 INTs, 25.1 return avg.) and DARREN SHARPER (63 INTs, 22.4 return avg.) as the only players in NFL history with 50 INTs to average at least 20.0 yards per interception return.

Reed (1,338) passed DEION SANDERS (1,331) for the third-most interception-return yards in NFL history.  Woodson holds the NFL record with 1,483 interception-return yards.

BONUS STAT: Also in the win at Carolina, Baltimore linebacker RAY LEWIS (30) had an interception and became the seventh linebacker in NFL history with at least 30 career interceptions.
