Indianapolis QB Peyton Manning is just like the Energizer Bunny. (Well, except that he's not a robot rabbit and doesn't play the drums, but I digress...) Manning has started the first 199 games of his career, the longest streak to start a career of any quarterback in NFL history. On Sunday at Philadelphia, Manning will start his 200th consecutive game, joining Brett Favre as the only quarterbacks ever to start 200 consecutive games.
And from the look of this list of the longest starting streaks by NFL quarterbacks, this is an amazing feat:
PLAYER | TEAMS | YEARS | CONSECUTIVE STARTS |
Brett Favre | Packers, Jets, Vikings | 1992-Present | 292* |
Peyton Manning | Colts | 1998-Present | 199* |
Ron Jaworski | Eagles | 1977-1984 | 116 |
Tom Brady | Patriots | 2001-2008 | 111 |
Joe Ferguson | Bills | 1977-1984 | 107 |
